The National Clearinghouse for the Defense of Battered Women just called & offered me the internship! I had a second interview with them two weeks ago, but they only had one position so I was sure I wasn't going to get it. I've been ridiculously stressed, about finding a job & other things, and the relief & elation is so very welcome.
Even better, while I'm relying on the fellowship to fund the summer, they're going to keep me on part-time next academic year & pay me! Earning money for real! How novel!
