My new iMac is so shiny and exciting I could just cry.
There's definitely a learning curve, but so far it's easier than I thought it would be. And I've been able to find quick answers to all questions I've had so far via Google.
Right now I'm copying all my important files from the HP laptop. Seriously, figuring out where my shared files were on the Mac was the hardest thing to figure out so far - and that took about four minutes.
I mean my god there's a remote, and it attaches to the side of the monitor magnetically, and that right there is the where Macs really do have PCs beat, it's like they just think of everything and it's kind of awesome.
Hopefully I'm not going to need a new laptop for at least a few years, but when I do I can tell already it's going to be a Mac. I'm just saying.
P.S. How is it I can love the Tenth Doctor as much as the Ninth? Series 2 has been so awesome. "School Reunion" last week was so good it almost had "The Doctor Dances" beat out for my favorite episode ever, and omg Giles! EVIL Giles! And then it made me cry. Doctor Who is so very many kinds of awesome.
There's so much fabulous sci-fi and sci-fi-ish stuff these days it could make this geek die happy - Doctor Who, BSG, Stargate Atlantis, Heroes, Supernatural - oh, so much love.
My cat is acting spazzier than usual - and that's saying a lot.

Did you know that they're making a Sarah Jane spin-off? I'm not entirely sure how I feel about that. And the other spin-off, Torchwood, premieres in the UK today. I'd better go torrent-hunting...
