So this has been a totally not fun vacation. Sure, I'd probably rather be this sick when I'm not worried about missing school, but I've had to miss out on lots of fun things my mom and I had planned, so that sucks.
And while I may have referred to it as "the plague" in jest when I first felt myself coming down with something, oh, how apt a description it turned out to be. It's quite possible I have the flu - swift onset, fever, chills, all-over muscle pain, bone pain, joint pain, lord, even my *skin* hurt for the first two days. If it's not the flu, then I NEVER want to have the flu, EVER, because if it's worse than this? Well, I don't want to imagine what might be worse than those two days there when I wanted to DIE. (Or just for someone to give me lots and lots of narcotics. My mother, for some reason, refused to hold up a pharmacy to get me some.) I never felt the need for a flu shot before but next year I will be FIRST IN LINE.
I am getting better - as evidenced by the fact that I can actually write this - just very, very slowly. And in the meantime, my brain is melting from disuse.
