didn't I throw you out a window?

Yay, Supernatural has been renewed! VMars has not. I'm surprisingly okay with that - I think it's that this season has just been far too uneven in quality. I largely blame the network for messing with the formula in a (futile) attempt to garner more viewers. And messing with the opening credits - c'mon, I used to scream and head-bang along to the theme song, and then they went and made it all wimpy. Add in less ruthless!Veronica, less sweet/borderline-codependent Veronica/Keith interaction, less Weevil, and way too much pointless Veronica/Logan angst, and this season just wasn't bringing it for me.

On the other hand, I loved last week's episode with the passion of a thousand suns. Paul Rudd! The man is so under-utilized by the industry. His character could so easily have been a boring caricature, but PR brought subtlety and a quiet sadness and enough humanity to make me really root for his redemption.

HEROES! So much love. Can Season 2 possibly bring this same level of weekly shock and awe and glee and literal edge-of-my-seat-ness? Can it possibly manage to knock me senseless with twists and reveals I didn't see coming? Realistically - probably not. Better to resign myself to that now, really. But we'll always have Paris Season 1!
