So I had one sure thing for this tv season. I was not going to watch, and I was by no means going to enjoy, Gossip Girl. I mean, just, seriously. The name. The setting. The gross conspicuous consumption. I was so smugly confident, I ... tivo'd the pilot. To test my imagined television superiority, is the only reason I can think of. But, of course, I hated it, right? Right?

... ARGH. I liked it. What. The hell.

So my television viewing is starting to look like this: I can't keep calling them guilty pleasures if they're all guilty pleasures.

Well, don't feel too bad. That's the same thing that happened to me with Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I taped the first episode expecting it to suck, thinking maybe I'd at least get some Sarah Michelle Gellar hotness for my troubles, and then halfway into it, I was like, "This is actually really cool!" Plus, Alyson Hannigan. Rowr.
