OK. weather.com PROMISES that this is the last day of the Miserable Heat Wave That Ruined October. Low seventies tomorrow and Thursday, and HIGH OF FIFTY-EIGHT on Friday, ohjoy, but of course I must not get excited about that yet, it could change, but still! Surely this is the last of eighty-plus degree weather until next year! Pleaseplease!

I am kind of crazy, it's just, I love moderate temperatures like crazy. Fifty to sixty-five is my temperature range of joy. Fall and spring are the happiest times of year for me, though they have a very different feel about them, coming off of endless sweltering hot versus bitter windy cold. Ending v. renewal. I wonder if it is strange that I prefer the ending, the restless, quiet melancholy that pervades this season?

I've had mild recurrent TMJ for the past couple of years, due to teeth grinding, which I've always done. The last few mornings though, it's taken at least half an hour with the heating pad for the muscles on the left side of my jaw to un-cramp enough to eat breakfast without spasming up. This is v. annoying, and I don't know why I'd be grinding more, as I'm not particularly stressed (hello, PASSED THE BAR! though I guess that only would count for last night) but who knows what my subconscious is fretting about? I am spectacular at avoidance, it could be weeks before I realize I'm in a state about something.

But whatever, Blood Ties is finally back and the new episode is available days early on iTunes and I must watch! Vampires, mmm.

I'm the same way about October and November, and I too have been annoyed at the higher than usual temperatures. Looking forward to tomorrow, too. :)

And, of course, now they've updated the forecast to say that tomorrow is going to be in the 80s, too. I hate meteorologists.
