"you're an idiot," decoded

Ow. OK, you gave me those last two episodes just to make sure this one would come at me all unexpected, yes? THE DOG. GOD. I whimpered. Then I went and found Libby and made her cuddle with me.

Former Ducklings

Cameron, you are still smug and annoying, but I am amused by how easily Competitive Blonde Doctor played you.

Foreman, nice try. Can you now just accept your inevitable destiny as House 2.0?

Chase - you win at life. You can stay.

Cuddy

Cuddy continues to have no point, which is unfortunate, and she came out looking like an even bigger hypocrite than usual. Her guilt trip at the end doesn't work unless I'm supposed to believe it's a manifestation of her OWN guilt, because however irresponsible it was for House to be using a patient as a competitive tool, she was aware of it very early on, and didn't give more than her now-typical oh-House-really token protests. Maybe this comes from having seen the first three seasons of the show all at once and fairly recently, but I can remember when Cuddy actually maintained some authority over House, and it was good, and she was a lot more awesome than she is now. If the show is eventually going to force House/Cuddy on me, can it at least be season 1 Cuddy, please?

The Man

House's not-really suicide attempt = not at all surprising. If anything, it's just a manifestation of the bizarre variant of OCD I'm convinced he has. And it's why I love him, so. He goes there. Heh, Degrassi.

Wannabe-Ducklings

I still only really like Ridiculously Old Fraud and Plastic Surgeon. I kind of love Competitive Blonde Doctor, if only because I'd love to actually have a female character on the show who's almost as ruthless as House.

House/Wilson

But none of this matters! Because HOUSE LOVES WILSON! HE SAID SO!

Fine, he said it in response to Wilson saying he was going to increase House's pain meds. But while the timing of the line would seem to indicate it was meant to be played for laughs, the delivery - wasn't. Since House has made sarcasm its own art form, the delivery felt intentional. And I very much read Wilson's response - the head tilt, the eyebrow raise - as "yes, I know. You're still an idiot."

And, oh, Wilson staring at House, waiting for him to wake up, just so he could tell him he was an idiot straight away - *LOVE!!!!!!!*

In conclusion - totally made up for that the evil dog stuff.
