Ugh.
Okay, there are things I will always hate about television without pity, just like there are things I will always love, like Jacob's recaps and the Heroes boards.
In the "hate" list, Demian's recaps have always been high up - he's not funny, he just hates the show he's recapping. Which is fine for him, and I get that the point of twop recaps is to be critical, but hate =/= criticism OR humor, kthnx. (I also hate the supernatural boards because he posts on them - I much prefer recappers who don't. Otherwise you get half a group of people who kiss the recapper's ass for his omigod total wit and cleverness, and half a group who feel like they can't state a dissenting opinion. So yeah. Already disinclined to like him.)
But when he repeatedly calls a character (who, for the record, had a Brooklyn accent but no other obviously identifying ethnic background) a dago and wop for the omg funny? DIE, asshole.
Even better! The response by a head twop person to an emailed complaint by another reader? "The terms were used ironically, in order to point up the extremely stereotypical nature of the character -- Demian was drawing attention to negative stereotyping, not perpetrating it. Please reread the recap." (found: http://winterlive.livejournal.com/399087.html?format=light)
Um, yeah. Bite me.

I mean, Jesus. Censor feedback so we don't spoil the delicate baby recappers' egos, I guess.
