in which I am petty and judgmental (surprise!)
Random thing #6,725 that annoys me greatly: non-ironic cutesy spelling, i.e., "Oooh, prezzies!" Somehow this offends me MORE than the hideous grammar and wretched misspellings that plague, oh, every corner of the intrawebs, although the overall makes-my-eyes-bleed ratio is probably about the same.
The thing that drives me crazy with the latter, of course, is that I strongly suspect most of it is sheer laziness - there's just no way that all of these people are completely incompetent writers. It's not my lofty holder-of-multiple-degrees perch skewing my perspective; I was writing more coherently than the worst offenders when I was eight years old.
What? I'm cranky! I'm still sick! I'm allowed! I fell asleep at eight pm last night, and I slept for eleven hours. This has been something of a pattern the past few days. Then I took a nap earlier, because somehow I'm STILL TIRED. It's not the most miserable virus I've ever had, but it's definitely one of the most EXHAUSTING. If I cared about ringing in the new year - which I do not - I suspect I'd be disappointed, because the odds of my staying awake until midnight look pretty grim.
In other, completely unexpected news, I think Gerard Way is awesome! News at six (because eleven is too late, obviously).
