(no subject)

I'm having a pretty terrible week, which is maybe not so surprising, but there you have it. You know what would be awesome? Happy things. Happy things are cheering even when they aren't happening to me, so tell me what's made you happy recently. Or write a whole post about it so I can enjoy it when I refresh my friendslist. Fun, yes? I'll even start - Supernatural was renewed, which made me pretty damn happy. I got tickets to the Philadelphia date of the Honda Civic Tour after all, because I finally figured out that I'd really, really regret it if I didn't go (bc, um, hi, Motion City Soundtrack and Jesse's hot keyboard-standing ass, Hush Sound and GRETA, Panic and OMG ALL OF THEM) and cajoled/arm-twisted/bullied N into going with me. Those were both awesome things. So, flist, share.

It is 50 degrees and sunny in Boston today, and on my lunch break I went to the park by the Charles River and ate an orange in the sunshine. It was blissful.

Also, FNL looks like it will be back for a third season. And I don't ache all over from my working-out badassery, which is a welcome change. Does any of that help?

Apropos of nothing, how did you like the AU Girl!Sam SPN fic I sent you a while back? I won't be hurt if you didn't like it - I only ask because I rarely recommend anything, and if you thought it was subpar, I'd probably not recommend it again.

Mmm, oranges. I went with grapes as my fruit this week instead of oranges, and it was a real mistake. Never again!

I'm only halfway through - that would be how far I got before I went to bed on saturday and woke up to the start of my sucky week - but definitely not subpar! Just on the list of things to get back to when I have the time and energy to appreciate it. Very much like your mystery spot recap which I have physically forced myself to wait to read until I can give it the attention it deserves. And you should rec things 500 times more often, btw.

Aww, you're very sweet. My only criticism of the piece is that I felt the phrase "Dean, please" was overused, but that's about it. And I don't know if it was written all at once or as a Work in Progress, and I'm willing to cut some slack if it's the latter.

...you should rec things 500 times more often, btw.

Well then here, have a treat: it's a small fanfic, also by musesfool. It's more of a coda, really, to Mystery Spot (http://musesfool.livejournal.com/1516797.html). It won't take you two minutes to read it. Think of it as a literary orange. ;)

Things are crappy and stressful in my life right now. But this video makes me smile (despite the asynchronous sound because YouTube sucks like that sometimes):

That was *hilarious*!

(Sorry to hear that things are crappy and stressful - I hope they get better soon.)

Here's a little happiness for you...

There aren't words in the English language that could express how happy this made me. I love you all.

I'm not sure where you stand on Ryan Ross! But if you like his face, this picspam (http://enoughoflove.livejournal.com/241867.html) had me all a-quiver yesterday.

Awesome! I would love Ryan for his sartorial choices alone, but the rest of the package is so amazing he's totally my second favorite. (Brendon only wins because Brendon/piano = my eternal OTP. If Ryan ever learns to play all bets are OFF.)

Fuzzy babies!

Huh, that's the first time I really saw the resemblance to W. Weird. That was a fun show though, I should've added it to my list of happy things.

[identity profile] ladygrey.livejournal.com 2008-03-07 01:16 pm (UTC)(link)
the resemblance is quite shocking right at the beginning, when he's "asleep" - so cute!!!!

hope you feel better, though. at least you don't have to worry about printing obnoxious people's wedding invite envelopes. god, people are SO demanding sometimes, i want to hit them.

anyway, happy friday!

2/3 a typical guy reaction
