the storyline i'm assuming is nothing similar to that on the show??

The storyline is, sadly, nothing to do with the show, except as a very brilliant parody. Mostly, the show's utter fluff.

But the girls are all hot, which is a hell of a good reason to watch, and to slash. *g*
