Ohhh, Spike, how I truly do adore thee.
Buffy thoughts, Buffy thoughts. Hmm. Think I'm still processing. Darker than I expected, especially after the relative lightheartedness of the first hour. The Buffybot! BroodingSpike! Protective-of-Dawn-Spike! Willow/Tara kiss right off - and lots of Tara in general. Did not like Anya's hair, and Anya was generally less funny than usual. Xander, however, was priceless. Willow and the deer, *oooooh*, so fabulously creepy. ReturnedBuffy well done, but...
I don't know. I loved lots of things about the premiere. It was well-written and stylish, but I think maybe couldn't live up to the weight of anticipation. I was unspoiled for the finale, and Buffy's death hit me like a sledgehammer. I was unspoiled for this, but it was absolutely no secret that Buffy was "returning", so the element of surprise was lacking. Which would have been fine for a normal hour-long episode. With a two-hour premiere, though, I don't know - it just seemed to lack something.
Which is not to say I didn't like it. Buffy is still miles above most other shows out there.
The Roswell previews made me cringe, and shudder, and flinch, and other bad things. It was great show once. And then it was a decent show. And then it had the season finale from hell. And now it looks as though it's still there, burning merrily.

so - buffy died, again - when do you think the new slayer will blow into town?
i'm with you on roswell, but i'm hoping for the best... i'll watch it next week at anyrate.
