(no subject)

I am home! (And look <--- ... it deserves a ! Who knew.)

Witnessed that first snow of the year I was so eager for. Unfortunately I was DRIVING at the time, in the near-dark. Not pleased. And there was a traffic jam. Not pleased at all.

But it's all good now. I am home. I got to enjoy last night's Buffy with my mother. I'm all caught up on Gilmore Girls, and damn do I love that show.

Buffy - whoo. Um. Yeah. In a lot of ways I wasn't terribly taken with the episode. It seemed to lack focus - although, arguably, lack of focus is rather fitting with the current theme of the show. However, the Willow/magic addiction storyline has bored me from the start, and Amy's deratting, while offering most of the comic relief of the episode, seemed a bit too plot-device-y. Oh well.

As for the ending - *the* ending - my first thought was, holy mother of god. Second: this is primetime television? Third: Um, getting kinda overheated. Fourth: Damn, I love UPN and its apparent lack of censors!

It was the most cinematically pleasing, erotic, disturbing sex scene I've ever witnessed, and I'm including R movies in that assessment.

I wish I had the tape of it here, so I could rewatch. Sadly, I'd set it to tape at school. Sigh.

i was watching buffy with my sis--being at home and all for thanksgiving--and we both kind of looked at each other with a "whoa" expression after the ending. i heard the zip. first whoa. then her expression. second whoa. great scene. buffy, after all these years, continues to surprisingly drag its hooks into me. by the way, i love your critiques of the shows :)

It really was a great scene, wasn't it? I'm still a bit disturbed, and it was a development I'd been wanting to happen. But the show never takes the easy way out of anything, and that's why I love it so.

And I'm very glad you enjoy my ramblings - since I can't seem to stop myself from writing them. :)

I'm glad you're home safely; I haven't seen an update from you in a while and I was getting worried.

Hope you have a great Thanksgiving!
